The Fullerton College Foundation, celebrating its 59th anniversary, announced the honorees for this year’s President’s Gala. The Gala, is being held on the Fullerton College campus, celebrates the contributions of this year’s honorees to the College and the community.
The honorees and their respective contributions are as follows:
- Mary Dalessi: 2018 President’s Award for Outstanding Service in Philanthropy
- Nick Fuscardo: 2018 President’s Award for Outstanding Service in Education
- Manny Ontiveros: 2018 President’s Award for Outstanding Public Service
- Sueling Chen: 2018 President’s Award for Outstanding Service in Philanthropy and Education
- Gary Parkinson: 2018 President’s Award for Outstanding Service in Business
- Mark Elliott: 2018 President’s Award for Outstanding Service in Business
The President’s Gala will be held on Saturday, October 27th at the beautiful Fullerton College campus, located at 321 East Chapman Avenue, Fullerton, CA 92832. The reception and silent auction will begin at 5 p.m., followed by the dinner ceremony starting at 6:45 p.m.
The Gala will feature more than 150 silent auction items along with a spirited live auction. Additionally, the Gala will highlight the achievements of the honorees and feature talented Fullerton College students performing songs and beautifully choreographed dance numbers from Hello, Dolly!
“The President’s Gala supports the Fullerton College Foundation’s endowed scholarship programs that enable students in nearly every field of study to achieve their educational goals,” said President Greg Schulz. “The community’s outpouring of support for our students resulted in last year’s inaugural event being completely sold out and we look forward to another spectacular evening of entertainment and recognition of this year’s honorees.”
“We’re very pleased to host our second President’s Gala to raise funds to support the Fullerton College and its student body, having awarded over 14,000 scholarships to-date,” added Chuck Allen, executive director for the Fullerton College Foundation. The Foundation exists to promote Fullerton College and enhance the lives of its students by raising and accepting resources for scholarships, grants, programmatic and institutional support. Funding for the scholarship program is made possible by donations from individuals, businesses, corporations and private foundations.
