Associated Students Spring Elections April 8 – 11

The Associated Students of Fullerton College will hold their yearly anticipated Spring elections from April 8 to April 11 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the quad.

During the elections, Fullerton College students can cast their vote for their potential representatives for the 2019-20 academic year. Senate member positions on the ballot include up to 33 senator positions, five executive positions, and one student trustee.

Also on the ballot, students will get the opportunity to vote on two fee referendums. The first is the Student Representation Fee (SRF) which would add an optional $2 fee to a student’s registration. One dollar would go to SSCCC, the state-wide student government organization, and the other dollar would go to the Fullerton College Associated Students.

The second fee referendum is the OCTA bus fee, which would establish a partnership between Fullerton College and the Orange County Transportation Authority. If it passes, full-time students will be charged an automatic fee of $5.75 and part-time students will be charged $5 per semester in addition to any other fees. The partnership grants all students six months’ worth of bus travel on OCTA starting with the fall 2019 semester. If approved, the bus fee would go into effect fall 2020.
