FULLERTON – Fullerton College, in partnership with the Fullerton Joint Union High School District (FJUHSD) and the North Orange County Regional Occupational Program (NOCROP), will receive a grant of up to $875,000 to establish an industry-driven, four-year Green Building and Design G-CADemy program at La Habra High School.

The G-CADemy will transition students to high-skill jobs through apprenticeship and college programs to meet the growing demand for a sustainable building and design workforce in Southern California. In addition, the G-CADemy hopes to close the gap between industry needs and students’ skills levels in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).

Grant funding for the G-CADemy is a result of the California Career Pathways Trust, which established a one-time, $250 million competitive grant program in the state’s 2013-14 budget.
