As the deadline looms for students to complete their CSU and UC applications before Nov. 30, the Transfer Center has updated their office hours and services to prepare for what they call the “application rush.”
To best serve students applying for 2020 transfer and to manage the increased demand for services, the Transfer Center has announced the following changes to November:
Extended Office Hours – The Transfer Center will extend office hours on Friday, Nov. 22 and will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Additionally, on Saturday, Nov. 23, the Center staff will be available in Lab 611 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to assist students with their CSU and UC applications. The Center is also open Tuesdays until 7 p.m.
Early Closure Notice – The Transfer Center will close early at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27 – the last working day prior to the Thanksgiving break and Nov. 30 deadline.
Counseling Services – During the rush, counseling services at the Transfer Center will be temporarily restricted to drop-in services and only for students transferring in spring and fall 2020. Normal counseling services will resume Monday, Dec. 2.
Application Services – Students may visit the Transfer Center during office hours to receive application assistance on a drop-in, first-come-first-served basis. In addition, limited appointments are still available for UC Personal Insight Question review. Lab computers are limited and so students are encouraged to bring their own laptop.
