Fullerton College Welcomes 25,000 On First Day of Fall Semester

Fullerton College welcomed more than 25,000 new, continuing and returning students to campus for the first day of the fall semester on Aug. 22. For many students, the day consisted of arriving on campus as early as 7 a.m., staying until classes ended at 10 p.m., and catching up with friends and classmates in between.

The fall semester typically draws many new students to campus, including first-time freshmen from feeder high schools in the area. To help alleviate some of the first day jitters, information booths were available at three locations on campus, and faculty and staff could be seen greeting students and helping find classrooms and additional support services.

President Greg Schulz also made his way around campus during the first day, dropping by a few classrooms and providing an official Hornet welcome.

Many students also took to social media to share moments of their first day using #MyFCFirstWeek and tagged Fullerton College on their first day of school posts. Students are encouraged to continue sharing photos and posts throughout the week to win Fullerton College gear. More details at https://news.fullcoll.edu/fc-first-week-sweepstakes/
