FC Mother and Daughter Duo Secures the Same Scholarship One Year Apart
American Sign Language (ASL) major Gizelle Fuentes never imagined completing her first year at Fullerton College as a scholarship recipient. This academic year, she was awarded the Doug and Ann Myles Family Osher Scholarship – a scholarship for high-achieving students in the humanities. Just a year ago, her mother, Marilyn Fuentes, also received the exact same award. Gizelle and Marilyn are both Fullerton College students who are pursuing associate degrees in ASL. Fullerton College alumnus, Malique “Kash” Amos, recently inspired at the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism’s commencement ceremony. A proud graduate and appointed speaker, Amos earned his bachelor’s degree in communications just two years after transferring from Fullerton College. Men’s Basketball Wins 32CA State Championships
The Fullerton College men’s basketball team recently defeated City College of San Francisco with a 67-64 score, finishing the season as the 3C2A State Champions for the sixth time in program history.
