NOCCCD Launches National Search for FC’s Next President

The North Orange County Community College District (NOCCCD) launched a national search for its next President at Fullerton College. The President is the Chief Executive Officer of the college and reports to the Chancellor of the District. NOCCCD is working with Community College Search Services, with consultant support and guidance provided by Dr. Joan Smith.

The President position calls for an individual with a record of proven leadership skills combined with a passionate commitment to a 21st-century comprehensive community college mission and the ability to plan resource allocation to meet these goals during a period of dynamic change. The ideal candidate will be an innovative and proven leader who provides strong institutional stewardship, champions faculty excellence and staff success, and further strengthens Fullerton College’s commitment to student-centered experiences. The next President will be someone who advocates for diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism to support a culturally responsive environment that provides outstanding educational opportunities for all students, employees, and the surrounding community.

The District’s goal of this national search is to select a new Fullerton College President by the end of the 2021-22 academic year. The President, Fullerton College, Search Committee is comprised of a diverse group of students, faculty, staff, and community members, and will be involved in recruiting, evaluating, and conducting interviews with candidates. The Search Committee will select outstanding finalists for further consideration by the Board of Trustees. These finalists will be invited to interview with the Board of Trustees and participate in open forums before the final selection is made by the Board of Trustees.
