Cosmetology Department Student Salon Returns for Client Services
The cosmetology department’s student salon returned with a soft opening on Sept. 6 after a four-year closure. The salon offers haircuts, nail services, makeup and more for students, staff and the public.
This soft opening marks the beginning of an exciting comeback, with services that equip cosmetology students with the skills necessary to embark on a career in the field. Clients will be charged for services according to the length and density of hair and amount of product needed. Chemical services, such as color, perms and facials will not be offered until the spring semester.
Services are provided by advanced students in levels four and five. Level three students will offer services later in the semester. All services are performed under the supervision of licensed cosmetology instructors.
The student salon also includes a variety of specials:
- Fullerton College students: 10% off services with current student ID
- Senior citizens: $2 off services by students in levels four and five
- Fullerton College faculty and staff: 25% off services with current Fullerton College employee ID number
- Veterans and first responders: Free Haircuts (only haircuts free & ½ off) on Thursdays and 50% off on Friday with government ID

The cosmetology department is located in Building 700, Room 712B. Clients must check in for walk-ins and appointments.
