Fullerton College to Hire New Tenure Track Faculty in 2026
Fullerton College is thrilled to announce that it will hire new full-time, tenure track faculty for the 2025-26 academic year in the following subjects:
- Anthropology
- Art History
- Business
- Cinema and Television
- Communication Studies
- Counseling
- Drone Technology
- Earth Science
- Ethnic Studies
- Horticulture
- Psychology
The process for finding our new faculty members is anticipated to begin January 2026. We look forward to welcoming new instructors to our Hornet family!
Fullerton College Establishes Culturally Relevant Efforts
The Diversity Advisory Committee (DAC) recently launched its Culturally Relevant Art (CRA) protocol to help guide the creation of murals, installations and other public art to reflect the diverse identities, histories and experiences of our campus community. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to submit proposals for culturally relevant art using our new CRA application.
The Hispanic Serving-Institution (HSI) Team has also joined the efforts, inviting faculty and classified professionals to submit culturally relevant photos to update the walls of Cruz Reynoso Hall, Rooms 224-228.
Fullerton College Alumni Earns 40 Under 40 Accolade
Seal Beach Police Department Captain and Fullerton College alumni, Nick Nicholas, was recently selected for the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) 40 Under 40. A highly competitive global recognition, 40 Under 40 honors young leaders who exemplify leadership, innovation and service in the policing profession. Fullerton College congratulates Nicholas and appreciates his community involvement – a true testament of the success one can achieve at our college.
Fullerton College Breaks Ground on Future Performing Arts Center
Fullerton College held a groundbreaking ceremony in honor of its future Performing Arts Center building. Home to the arts, performance and human expression, this new addition will be the catalyst of success for the fine arts community at the college.
Estimated to be completed in 2028, this effort could not have been possible without S.J. Amoroso and Kitchell Construction, Fullerton College’s Capital Projects and Administrative Services teams and the local community’s investment of Measure J tax dollars.
Dual Enrollment Team Hosts Successful Partners’ Breakfast
The Office of Dual Enrollment recently held a Partners’ Breakfast event and invited K-12 leaders from Orange County school districts to showcase our fruitful opportunities, dual enrollment classes and points of pride. Leaders from the following school districts were in attendance:
- Anaheim Unified High School District
- Brea Olinda Unified School District
- Buena Park School District
- Fullerton Union Joint High School District
- Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District
The first of its kind, this event was designed to connect with our K-12 partners and discuss ways in which we can collaborate to create pathways for young students, fast-tracking their college success and ensuring they land fulfilling careers.
Holiday Party Celebrates Classified Recognition Recipients
The Office of the President recently hosted a successful Holiday Party, inviting classified staff and faculty for food, a photo opportunity with Santa Claus and holiday cheer. At the event, Fullerton College President Cynthia Olivo and Classified Senate President Annika Shellenbarger announced the Classified Recognition Award recipients, Leno Sanchez-Tapia and Jesus Silva.
Fullerton College thanks President Olivo, Nitzya Hamblet, Jean Foster and their group of volunteers for their hard work in ensuring this successful event.
Administration of Justice Pathway Program Prepares Students for Prosperous Careers
The Administration of Justice Pathway Program (AJPP) at Fullerton College has been instrumental in helping its students secure careers in the field. Overseen by Professors Leticia Ramirez and Kelly Robertson, the program offers a robust combination of theoretical and practical learning that successfully prepares students from college to career.
Fullerton College recently explored the success stories of students Aislynn Casillas, Valerie Perez Bustos, Ricardo Casillas and Mikey De La Rosa, showcasing the exciting opportunities the AJPP brings to its students.
Cross Country Runners Secure State Championship Win
Student runners Zidane Ras and Jonathan Mendoza recently delivered the best performances of the season at the 3C2A State Championship meet at Woodward Park. A record-breaking achievement, Brittany Rodriguez also delivered an amazing performance for the women’s cross-country team, placing 23rd among 169 runners. Fullerton College congratulates our winners and their incredible efforts.
Office of Campus Communications Earns Three NCMPR Medallion Awards
The Office of Campus Communications recently secured three Medallion accolades at the 2025 National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) Regional Conference. An exciting achievement, this award is a testament to Fullerton College’s ongoing efforts to build a brand that embraces its mission and speaks to the student experience.
