2026 Fullerton College French Film Festival Returns
Fullerton College’s much-loved French Film Festival is back for its fourteenth year. Fullerton again becomes the “Paris of Orange County,” featuring two nights of recent French film releases to delight enthusiasts of all ages. This year’s screenings will be held at the Campus Theatre on two evenings, April 7th and 8th. A cultural hour featuring complimentary food, music, dance and art starts at 6:30 p.m. in the patio area outside the box office, and all films begin at 7:30 p.m.
The French Film Festival began in 2010 as a unique educational opportunity sponsored by the Tournées Film Festival through the French American Cultural Exchangeand the Fullerton College Humanities Division’s hard-working staff and faculty. It has since grown into a popular cultural celebration of French life.
Visitors will be greeted by the friendly faces of Fullerton College students and members of the French Club who have created a dynamic cultural scene that will entertain visitors the hour before each evening’s screening. French inspired food-tasting stations will be available from Crêpes Bonaparte, Crêpes de Paris, Fraise Café, Les Amis, Let it Brie, Zombees, Moulin and Roscoe’s. Additional sponsors include Vista Higher Learning, cultural collaborator Alliance Française and Clotilde French Bookstore. Attendees will enjoy an eclectic Paris street scene come to life, featuring caricatures, magic, a photo booth and Pétanque and other games. There will be drawings at the games to win berets on Tuesday and a French national soccer jersey Wednesday.

Fullerton College French Club students are excited to introduce both films at the festival:
Tuesday April 7th: L’HISTOIRE DE SOULEYMANE / SOULEYMANE’S STORY (2024)
Souleymane, a Guinean immigrant in Paris, races daily to meet his food delivery quota and secure a shelter bed. As an asylum seeker, he has just two days to prepare for a critical interview that will determine his legal residency. First-time actor Abou Sangaré won the Un Certain Regard prize for Best Actor at the Cannes Film Festival and the Best Male Revelation prize at the French César Awards.
