Friends of Fullerton College Foundation Welcomes New Board Leaders
The Friends of Fullerton College Foundation Board of Directors is pleased to announce its new president, Dr. Anna Corral and to welcome three new leaders, Pedro Ángel Corrales, Dr. Lupillo Ramírez and Mashonda Salsberry. Together, the board will elevate the foundation through transformation, collaboration and more. Meet our new leaders:
Dr. Anna Corral is a seasoned higher education professional, with 30 years of experience serving in education and leadership roles. An expert in her field, Dr. Corral joins the board as the retired principal of Anaheim High School. She is also an active member of the Fullerton community. From playing clarinet for the Fullerton Community Band to serving on various boards and supporting our men’s basketball team, her ongoing advocacy continues to impact our Hornet family.
Before her presidential appointment, Dr. Corral served as Director and Vice President for the Friends of Fullerton College board, where she had the privilege of examining scholarship applications telling the unique stories of Fullerton College students.
Dr. Corral holds a bachelor’s degree in music teacher education from University of California, Los Angeles and a doctorate in education from University of Southern California.
Pedro Angel Corrales is a financial advisor for Northwestern Mutual. Born and raised in Southern California by immigrant parents, Corrales believes that respect, discipline and helping others coincides with achieving personal and professional success.
Corrales has led a successful career in management, strategic planning and execution, leading several operational initiatives and positively impacting profitability for two of the biggest organizations in the United States. Throughout his career, he has brought nothing but his passion in strategic planning to guide personal relationships with new people, business owners and families.
Corrales holds a bachelor’s degree in speech communication and rhetoric from California State University, Long Beach.
Dr. Lupillo Ramírez is the Senior Director of Innovation and Product Development at Northgate Mercado, the highly renowned grocery store owned by the González family. A proud Fullerton College alumnus, Dr. Ramírez began his career at Northgate at 21 years old while completing his associate’s degree.
Dr. Ramírez also serves as Board President of the Latino Food Industry Association and sits on the boards of Olive Crest and City of Hope. A proud Latino with a robust career trajectory, he earned his associate’s degree in business at Fullerton College, a bachelor’s degree in business from Pepperdine University and a doctorate in organizational leadership from the University of La Verne.
Mashonda Salsberry serves as the Inaugural Umoja Community Program coordinator at Fullerton College and was recently elected as the Classified Senate president.
With more than 15 years of experience in higher education, she is dedicated to advancing student success, educational equity and culturally responsive programming. Throughout her career, Salsberry has developed innovative initiatives that support historically marginalized students, foster meaningful campus partnerships and strengthen student engagement.
She is a proud first-generation college graduate who earned an Associate of Arts from Santa Ana College and both a Bachelor of Science in human services and a Master of Science in higher education administration and leadership from California State University, Fullerton. As the Classified Representative on the Friends of Fullerton College Foundation board, she looks forward to supporting opportunities that enhance student success and strengthen the college community.
