Book Club Seeks New Members
The Fullerton College Leisure Reading Book Group is looking for new students to join their monthly book group. The first meeting of the semester will be held on Feb. 18 at 3 p.m. in Room 827, where students will have a chance to choose the spring book selection and receive a free copy of the book at a future meeting.
Free copies of the selected book are donated by Friends of the Fullerton College Library and students meet once a month to discuss chapters and themes of the selection in an informal setting. Light snacks are also provided at each meeting.
Previous book selections of the group have included All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven, The Fifth Wave by Rick Yancey, and numerous short stories by best-selling authors.
“This is just a fun way to meet other students and cultivate the skill of reading,” said group advisor and Fullerton College librarian Jane Ishibashi.
All future meeting dates will also be determined during the first meeting on Feb. 18. For more information contact Jane Ishibashi at jishibashi@fullcoll.edu or Deidre Hughes at dhughes@fullcoll.edu.
