Spring Transfer Awareness Week Runs March 12 – 16

Each fall and spring semester, the Transfer Center hosts a week of services to educate students about transfer opportunities and steps to transfer. March 12 marks the beginning of the annual Spring Transfer Awareness Week. During this week various events will take place including the spring College Fair, Pizza with Private Schools, an alumni mixer, and the Transfer Basics seminars.

Students are invited to begin signing up for seminars and Transfer Awareness Week activities in the Transfer Center in Room 212. The following events will be hosted by the Transfer Center this week:

Monday, March 12

Transfer Basics 101: Transfer to the CSU & UC

Noon – 1 p.m. in Room 212
Perfect for any student with the goal of transfer. Learn about transfer admissions requirements, selection criteria and tips for successful transfer.

Transfer Basics 201: Competitive Admissions

3 – 4 p.m. in Room 212
Perfect for students who are considering highly competitive institutions. Learn how to prepare for transfer to impacted and selective institutions

Tuesday, March 13

Transfer Basics 301: Guaranteed Admissions

Noon – 1 p.m. in Room 212
Workshop will cover the highly popular: UC TAG, UCLA TAP, ADT and guaranteed admissions to HBCUs, Western Oregon State University and ASU and will discuss the Western University Exchange.

iTransferred: an alumni panel & hot chocolate mixer

4 – 7 p.m. in Room 212
Learn from the stories of Fullerton College alumni who successfully transferred to various universities while enjoying a warm hot chocolate and cookies. FC alumni from Cal State Fullerton, Pomona and UC Berkeley will attend.

Wednesday, March 14

Transfer Basics 501: How to Afford a University

3 – 4 p.m. in Room 212
Learn basic financial aid information and how to budget for a university. This is perfect for all students but especially helpful for fall 2018 applicants.

Thursday, March 15

College Fair

10 a.m. – 1 p.m. on the quad
Meet with more than 65 representatives from CSU, UC, private and out-of-state campuses. Note: The Cadena/Transfer Center will be closed 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. during the fair.

Pizza with Private Schools

1:30 – 3 p.m. in Room 212
Ask admissions representatives from Chapman University, University of La Verne, Hope International University, Brandman University, and Biola University questions about transfer and learn more about their campuses while enjoying a slice of pizza and goodies.
