FC Night at Angel Stadium Returns April 5
Hornets and Angels will reunite for an epic night of family fun and baseball during the annual Fullerton College Night at Angel Stadium on Friday, April 5. The event, which is now in its fourth year, supports the Chris Lamm & Toni Dubois-Walker Memorial Food Bank and Students of Distinction Awards. The highly anticipated spring event for students, staff, alumni, and supporters creates an opportunity to come together, enjoy a night of baseball and carry the Hornet spirit to Angel Stadium.
The night begins with a tailgate under the Big A starting at 5:30 p.m. followed by a game against the Texas Rangers at 7:07 p.m.
Fullerton College Night at Angel Stadium will honor student-veterans during the pregame ceremony. The ceremonial pitcher will be Joshua Bruner. Bruner is a United States Marine Corps veteran who provided humanitarian aid in Operation Tomodachi after a tsunami struck Japan in March 2011. He also served in Afghanistan as a customs and border-clearing officer. He continues serving in the United States Army Reserves while studying journalism at Fullerton College. President Greg Schulz will join him and his fellow student-veterans Roy Doyel, Justis Esquer, Gabriel Gonzalez, Joshua Gonzalez and Nelson Reyes for the ceremony.
The game tickets are $25 and come with a free custom Fullerton College and Angels co-branded hat. This year’s game will also include a Mike Trout Sliver Slugger Bobblehead for the first 30,000 guests in attendance.
The tailgate voucher is $5. The voucher includes a hot dog, chips and a drink and must be purchased in advance although everyone is welcomed to attend the tailgate whether or not they purchase a voucher. Tailgate vouchers will not be available for purchase the day of the game. Associated Students are hosting fun, family-friendly activities and Fullerton College branded give-a-ways during the tailgate.
Tickets and tailgate vouchers can be purchased at the Bursar’s Office in Building 2000 starting February 26. Game tickets are also available online at www.angels.com/fullcoll. A processing fee will apply to all tickets purchased online.
Associated Students will host a kick-off event Tuesday, March 5 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the quad. Those who buy tickets that day will be entered into a raffle drawing for Hornet and Angels gear.
The student club, group, or team that can bring the largest group to the game will get a Pizza Party with President Greg Schulz, sponsored by the Office of Campus Communications. For more information about the student incentive, please contact Lisa McPheron at lmcpheron@fullcoll.edu.
