Advisory: Campus Closes for Community 4th of July Festival
As a free service to the community, Fullerton College will continue accommodating the city of Fullerton’s annual Fourth of July Community Festival & Fireworks Show at the Fullerton High School Softball Field on July 4, 2019. The fireworks will be set off from the fourth floor of the Fullerton College Parking Structure, resulting in a full closure of the college.
On Tuesday, July 2, the fourth floor of the FC Parking Structure will be blocked off and reserved for the setup of the fireworks show. The parking structure will be completely closed from Thursday, July 4 at 6 a.m. through July 5 at 11 a.m.
Additionally, Lemon Street will be blocked off between Chapman Avenue and Berkeley Street from 3:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on July 4. The fireworks will be shot off on the fourth floor of the parking structure at 9 p.m. and spectators will gather at the high school and homes in the surrounding neighborhood.
The Fullerton Fire Department, for safety purposes, has designated a Safety Zone which includes all of the campus buildings and parking lots north of Chapman Avenue. For safety purposes, please do not park your vehicle in any of the north campus parking lots (Safety Zone) and do not enter any of the campus buildings or athletic fields after 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 4.
