Annual Smart Start Saturday Planned Aug. 17

Fullerton College is helping students prepare for the fall semester with Smart Start Saturday on August 17. The event welcomes all new students and their families to campus for a day of exploration and connection. Students will have the opportunity to visit with academic programs, learn about student services and resources, participate in campus tours, and take care of important business such as obtaining a student ID card and purchasing textbooks.

“Smart Start Saturday is a fun event to help new students get acquainted with Fullerton College,” said vice president of Student Services Gilbert Contreras. “In addition to taking care of some important college business like picking up a student ID card or visiting the Financial Aid office, students will have a chance to explore all of the other exciting programs and services Fullerton College has to offer. It’s a great day to get connected.”

The event will be held from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. on the quad and brings together academic programs, student services, student clubs and more. Information tables will be set up on the quad, students can sign up for campus tours, and student ID cards will be distributed at the Student Center in Building 200, Room 214.
