April Events Bring Awareness to Sexual Assault and Violence
Sexual Assault can happen anywhere and to anyone, even in online spaces. Fullerton College is pleased to join organizations across the nation in bringing awareness and prevention of sexual violence during the month of April.
The campus community is invited to attend the following Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) events:
April 16 – 30
Orange County Virtual Clothesline Project
Presented by Waymakers Sexual Assault Victim Services & Prevention, the Clothesline Project is intended to provide education and a visual representation of how prevalent sexual violence is within our community.

A Conversation on Consent
Consent is often exclusively discussed in sexual contexts. Fullerton College’s Cadena Cultural Center and Student Health Services are excited to present “A Conversation on Consent.” This event will unpack consent in non-sexual contexts, bodily autonomy, and the impact our cultures have on how we define these things. Wednesday, April 28
Denim Day
Fullerton College Health Services encourages the campus community to wear jeans (denim) on April 28 to raise awareness of rape and sexual assault. Denim Day grew out of a 1998 Italian Supreme Court decision that overturned a rape conviction because the victim wore tight jeans. This year, Health Services created an informative video and Zoom backgrounds to help spread awareness.

Healthy Decisions about Relationships & Intimacy
Presented in coordination with the Spring Health Fair, Health Services will host a workshop about relationships and intimacy. For more information on the Spring Health Fair visit https://health.fullcoll.edu/
