April is Financial Aid Awareness Month

On Tuesday April 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.,  students, faculty, and staff are invited to come to the quad to learn about services offered by the Fullerton College Financial Aid Office including 2019-2020 changes, financial literacy and financial wellness. Vendors and community partners such as Bank Mobile, IGRAD, FaTV, Foundation Office and Pathways of Hope, will be available to answer questions and offer information.

Participants receive a ticket to obtain a free drink from Sodexo Food Services and get a chance to enter an opportunity drawing after going to each table and getting a signature. Immediately following this event, a Financial Literacy Workshop focusing on budgeting is available from 2-3 p.m in Room 611.

The Financial Aid Office is leading the way in educating students about financial literacy and financial aid. The office regularly offers financial literacy appointments to meet with financial aid counselors one-on-one and workshops on saving, budgeting, and understanding loans and credit.

In addition, the Financial Aid Office continues to offer weekly financial aid labs every Thursday in Room 611 that assist students in any aspect of the financial aid process. This includes helping students who are applying for FAFSA and helping DREAMers apply for the CA Dream Act Application. Students can find information about each lab on the financial aid website at https://financialaid.fullcoll.edu.
