Art Gallery Presents: Culturally Displaced

Fullerton College and the Fullerton College Art Gallery are proud to exhibit a selection of works from the Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation. The exhibit titled Culturally Displaced: Selections from the Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation will run from Oct. 26 – Dec. 12, with a free Opening Reception on Oct. 26 from 5 – 8 p.m.

Frederick R. Weisman was a pioneering collector who lived and worked in Fullerton in the 1950s, gaining a respected reputation as the president of Hunt Foods, Inc. (then known as Val-Vita Foods).

On view are works exploring both the expression and the perception of cultures. Featured artists span diverse origins, from Cuba to Brazil to Germany and address topics including slavery, surveillance, and identity.
