CalWORKs and CARE Preparing for Annual Student-Parents Luncheon
The CalWORKs and CARE programs are seeking donations for their annual Student-Parents Recognition Luncheon on Friday, May 13 to be held in the Fullerton College Historic Courtyard (800B). Donations will be used to provide gift certificates to students within the programs.
The purpose of the luncheon is to celebrate the successes and acknowledge the daily struggles these parents face in order to complete their education, achieve self-sufficiency and create a brighter future for their children.
In the past, through the generosity of the Fullerton College community, students in attendance received a $15 gift certificate. This year, event organizers are hoping to raise enough money to purchase gift certificates for 50 students. No donation is too small and every dollar counts.
To make a donation, please send a check made payable to Fullerton College to: Antionese Cotton, EOPS Office by Monday, May 2. All donations are tax-deductible and will receive a tax-deductible donation letter to be mailed to the individual.
