Commencement Weather Report
Fullerton College’s 100th Commencement ceremony will take place rain or shine at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2015 at the Fullerton Union High School Stadium. The weather report calls for cloudy skies and cool temperatures in the mid- to low-60s during the evening ceremony. Graduates and guests are encouraged to wear warm clothes.
In the rare chance of rain, umbrellas will not be allowed because they can block the views.
Nearly 600 students are expected to participate in this year’s Commencement ceremony which will feature a keynote address by Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez and will honor former New York Giants head coach and alumnus Jim Fassel with the 2015 Commencement Award. The ceremony will also honor faculty and administrator retirees, the 2015 Teacher of Year, and recognize outstanding student achievements.
The ceremony will trigger a partial closure of Lemon Street between Chapman Avenue and Berkeley Avenue between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. Fullerton Police Department and campus safety officers will be on hand to divert traffic and ensure the safety of guests attending the ceremony and surrounding neighborhood.
