Annual CTE High School Counselors’ Summit Promotes FC Programs

The Second Annual Fullerton College Career and Technical Education High School Counselors’ Summit was held on March 21 in the College Center, Building 200. Coordinated in collaboration with CTE Staff, Strategic Recruitment and Outreach and Counseling and High School Outreach, the CTE High School Counselors’ Summit is an opportunity to strengthen connections and partnerships with local high schools and the community and highlight CTE programs at Fullerton College.
The event drew over 110 attendees that included counselors and CTE administrators from local high schools, North Orange Continuing Education, Fullerton College staff and community stakeholders.
This year’s faculty panel represented faculty from Biotechnology, Cyber Security, Child Development, Theatre Technology and Cosmetology. Throughout the panel, faculty shared informative summaries of their programs and career opportunities. Additionally, a student alumni panel shared their preparation and success in the workforce representing the Biotechnology, Child Development, Cosmetology and Theatre Technology programs.
Following the panels, the CTE Resource Fair gave attendees the opportunity to get more information on various programs and were provided with promotional materials of various programs.
