Curtis Galvez  Named Interim Director of Academic Computing Technologies

Fullerton College is pleased to announce Curtis Galvez as the new interim Director of Academic Computing Technologies (ACT). 

Galvez brings over a decade of experience in higher education technology services, with a career that reflects both technical expertise and leadership in IT systems, security and project management. He began his career at California State University, Fullerton (CSUF), where he served as a Student Assistant and later as an Analyst/Programmer developing internal software and web applications. He went on to serve as an IT Technician at North Orange Continuing Education (NOCE), before returning to CSUF as an Information Technology Consultant where he served as the IT lead for student wellness. 

Galvez also advanced into districtwide roles as an IT Security Analyst/System Administrator for the North Orange County Community College District (NOCCCD), where he implemented and monitored critical security measures and supported large-scale systems. Most recently, he served as IT Project Leader at NOCE, leading districtwide technology solutions, overseeing major upgrades and implementing secure system integrations. 

He holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in computer science from California State University, Fullerton. 

With his strong technical foundation and deep familiarity with both district and campus technology needs, Galvez is well positioned to guide ACT in advancing technology solutions that support teaching, learning and student success at Fullerton College.
