Debate Team Hosts Season Opener
The Speech and Debate Team will host the 6th annual Early Bird Intercollegiate Debate Tournament on Friday, Sept. 18 at Fullerton College. The tournament is the first official debate tournament of the year for colleges and universities throughout Southern California. Debate teams who have attended in the past include students from CSU Fullerton, CSU Northridge, Irvine Valley College, California Baptist University and Rio Hondo College. This year’s debate team includes returning winners from last year’s National Educational Debate Association Championship tournament, Zach Turner, Kitiny Phumchun, Michael Wu and Joseph Phillips.
