Explore Careers, Choose a Major at the Career and Life Planning Center
Students looking for career services and counseling to help them decide what major is best for them are encouraged to visit the Career and Life Planning Center (CLP) located in Building 2000, Room 2029.
This one-stop-shop offers students a variety of tools ranging from career research assistance, career counseling, and a new online job board system called FCCareerConnect, which connects students with potential employers, internships, and helps students easily search for jobs while attending FC and after graduation.
In addition to stopping by the center, students are invited to attend the first Major2Career Fair on Sept. 28. This event is designed to showcase Fullerton College academic programs and highlight degrees and certificates that can lead to various career pathways. The fair will be held on the quad at two different time periods, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 5:30 – 7 p.m. to accommodate both day and evening students.
The Career and Life Planning (CLP) Center merged over the summer with the Workforce Center to help students get the career services they need at one location.
“We combined our centers so that we can offer students a broad range of services under one umbrella,” said CLP Center Coordinator Janine Cirrito. “This umbrella will now include workshops, career-related assessments, assistance with job searching, and student-employer connections.”
The CLP Center also services faculty who can request classroom presentations and center orientations for their classes by visiting Faculty Resources on their website.
The CLP Center also launched a new website to help students and employers access up to date information on workshops, activities, and for faculty to request classroom presentations. For more information, visit http://careercenter.fullcoll.edu/
