FC Puente Project Welcomes New Cohorts

On Friday, August 12, the Puente Project held its first-ever, New Student Retreat. Puente staff, Elías Domínguez, Elsa Aguirre, Elli England and Roger Perez, welcomed fifty-seven new students. The students received a warm welcome from Puente’s Statewide Executive director, Julia Vergara. The day’s events included ice breakers, team building and writing exercises.
Puente Welcome Dinner
On Thursday, August 18, nearly 200 students and parents attended the Puente Welcome dinner held at Angelo’s & Vinci’s Ristorante in Fullerton. President Greg Schulz welcomed the group and congratulated the parents and students for embarking on this great journey. Puente staff presented on the importance of higher education and networking. This year, Fullerton College welcomes two cohorts to the Puente Program for the first time in 13 years.
