FC Students and Faculty Perform at Music Education Conferences
Fullerton College music programs and faculty have a high profile presence at the 2016 California All-State Music Educators Conference in San Jose, CA. The Fullerton College Concert Choir, directed by John Tebay, has been selected for a featured performance choir on Feb. 12. FC voice faculty Dr. Katharin Rundus will present a seminar entitled “No Longer Breathless” detailing best practices in voice studios and breath management for singing. FC band director Dr. Tony Mazzaferro guest conducts the featured brass ensemble. CASMEC is part of the California Music Educators Association as a conference to promote music education and programs.
On Feb. 26, the Fullerton College Chamber Singers have the honor performing at the American Choral Directors Association national conference in Pasadena. The group was selected to perform from over 400 choirs who auditioned. The ACDA conference focuses on the association’s mission of choral music education and advocacy.
