Fullerton College Art Gallery Presents the 2019 Artist in Residence Stephen Silver
Stephen Silver, who is best known for his character design, including designing the style of shows such as Kim Possible, Danny Phantom, and Kevin Smith’s Clerks, is the 2019 Artist in Residence. Additionally, he has written and illustrated 10 books on the art of sketching, character design, caricature and life drawing.
Silver’s solo exhibition, which runs through April 1 in the Fullerton College Art Gallery, takes visitors along on the journey of his evolution as an artist. The exhibition will be accompanied by an artist lecture and a week-long series of demonstrations as part of the distinguished Fullerton College Artist in Residence program. The artist’s reception will be on Tuesday, March 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Art Gallery. Silver will also give a lecture on Wednesday, March 20 at 7 p.m. in the Wilshire Auditorium.
The gallery is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 4 p.m. and will have evening hours on March 7, 13, and 25 from 6 to 8 p.m.
