Fullerton College Celebrates Black Student Success Week | April 26 – 30
Fullerton College will participate in the statewide Black Student Success Week (BSSW) from April 26 – 30. The campus community has numerous opportunities to participate in workshops, webinars, and other events.
Black Student Success Week is a collaboration among multiple organizations, including the Community College League of California, African American Male Education Network and Development (A2MEND), UMOJA Program, the Academic Senate for the California Community Colleges (ASCCC), and the California Community College Chancellor’s Office.
Daily webinars will be held throughout the week from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. in what is being called “The Black Hour.” The webinars will share insights and approaches for improving student success among Black and African American students at California’s community colleges.
“I encourage you to join me at these activities and events,” said President Greg Schulz. “At the end of the week there will be an opportunity for the Fullerton College campus community to discuss the BSSW Black Hour Webinars and share ideas about how we can best support our Black/African American student population at Fullerton College.”
