Fullerton College Celebrates Native American Heritage Month

This November, Fullerton College joins the national effort to celebrate Native American Heritage Month. An exciting time to commemorate the identities, contributions and history of our Native American communities, our campus invites the Hornet community to come out and celebrate.

Be sure to join us at the Native American Heritage Month Celebration from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5 at the Campus Quad. Hosted by the Cadena Cultural Center, this celebration aims to kick off the month, featuring exciting performances, frybread and an insightful resource fair.

The Fullerton College Library, formally recognized as the William T. Boyce Library, welcomes students to visit its lobby throughout November to engage with a Native American Heritage Month book display including a variety of works by Native American authors.

Fullerton College honors the ancestral territories shared by the Gabrielino-Kizh Nation and the Juaneño Band of Mission Indians/Acjachemen Nation, the original caretakers since time immemorial. We affirm our commitment to honor and pay our respects to the Native American tribal nations who have historically inhabited this land. This month serves to celebrate the culture and heritage of Indigenous peoples, ensuring that their stories are elevated and shared among our campus community.
