Fullerton College Earns 7-Year Reaccreditation

Fullerton College is honored to announce that it was reaccredited for a full 7-year cycle. An exciting achievement, Fullerton College’s status as an accredited institution reflects its quality educational programs, ability to follow standardized procedures and established best practices.

On September 17, 2024, the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) conducted a focused site visit to Fullerton College for an evaluation of the campus’ accreditation standards, eligibility requirements, commission policies and U.S. Department of Education regulations. A successful visit, the ACCJC also examined the college’s ability to achieve its stated purposes while providing recommendations for quality assurance and institutional improvement.

“Together, we have successfully completed our accreditation process, and I am proud of our ability to build a culture of collaboration across our institution and our Guided Pathways maps, which are an incredible example of how much we care about our students that we were willing to create maps to help guide them to success.” said Fullerton College President, Dr. Cynthia Olivo.

Fullerton College’s evaluation exceeded expectations. From its mission statement to instructional programs and student-centeredness, the college ranked high in the peer review committee’s checklist without requiring follow-up visits.

As an accredited institution, Fullerton College meets the criteria for students interested in transfer, professional development and career readiness.
