Fashion Show Highlights Student Work
The Fashion Department at Fullerton College is pleased to announce its spring 2015 fashion show, titled The Carousel of Fashion, on April 28 at 7 p.m. in the Wilshire Auditorium at 315 E. Wilshire Avenue. Admission to the show is free and open to the public.
The Carousel of Fashion will present an assortment of innovated garments in an entertaining showcase. This student-led production is the culmination of a semester of coursework and pulls together the talent of more than 80 students studying fashion design and fashion promotion.
The students will present their original designs before five judges, who work in the fashion industry, and faculty judges. Their work will be worn by 60 models, who will be modeling on a set designed by students. Their hair and makeup are provided by Fullerton College Cosmetology Level 4 students.
Fullerton College’s Fashion Department provides broad training in the fashion industry with specialization in fashion design, fashion illustration, fashion journalism, fashion merchandising, image consulting and theatrical costuming. Students can earn Associate of Art degrees in fashion design, fashion journalism, or fashion merchandising. Professional certificates are also available in: dressmaking-alteration; fashion design; advanced fashion design; fashion illustration; image consultant, or fashion merchandising.
