Fullerton College to Close on Jan. 9 in Observance of National Day of Mourning

In observance of the National Day of Mourning, honoring the life of President James Earl Carter, Fullerton College will close most campus operations and student services on Thursday, January 9, 2025.

The following essential campus services will remain available, including:

  • Campus Safety  
  • Campus Maintenance and Operations (M&O) 
  • Some Athletic Programs 
  • CalWORKs 
  • Child Development and Educational Studies (CDES) Lab School  
  • Veterans Resource Center  
  • External Facilities Rentals
  • Hornet Resource Center from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. for general enrollment support

All in-person classes scheduled for January 9 will be canceled, and non-essential offices will be closed for the day. All external facilities rentals with community-based organizations will proceed as planned.

For urgent matters or questions related to this closure, please contact your instructor or immediate supervisor.

Normal business hours and campus operations will resume on Friday, January 10.
