Grads to Be Program Hosts Speaker Event for Undocumented Students
The Grads to Be Program is pleased to host Carolina Valdivia on Friday, March 10 from 10 a.m. to noon in Building 200, Rooms 224-228. She is the creator of the My Undocumented Life website that provides comprehensive information and resources to undocumented immigrants on navigating the educational system.
Valdivia’s research on immigration/education and the undocumented community is well published. She is the recipient of several awards and fellowships and is a popular speaker. Valdivia will cover the following talking points at Fullerton College on March 10:
- Her personal journey from undocumented student to Harvard University, where she is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Education
- My Undocumented Life’s purpose in creating a sense of community
- The current political climate and immigration policy
- Various levels and type of community involvement

The Grads to Be Program provides a variety of services and resources for undocumented students at Fullerton College. The program’s focus is on students’ overall wellness as a means to facilitate and enhance their educational experience at Fullerton College and complete their educational goals on a timely basis.
