High School Students and Families Invited to FC Night on May 3
High school students and their families are invited to learn about Fullerton College, connect with academic programs and resources, and meet faculty, staff, and future students at FC Night Future Hornet Celebration on May 3 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. on the Fullerton College quad.
The celebration will recognize high school seniors who have made the commitment to attend Fullerton College this upcoming fall and will award scholarships to several new students.
The Office of Educational Partnerships which includes High School Outreach and the Promise Program have put together a fantastic event to welcome incoming and prospective students to Fullerton College.
FC Night will include a welcome presentation beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the North Gym followed by a resource fair on the quad, and an optional parent/guardian presentation in English and Spanish at 6:30 p.m. The English presentation will take place at the Campus Theatre and the Spanish presentation will take place in Building 200, Room 224.
Prospective students will also have the opportunity to get assistance completing the Fullerton College application, orientation, and other enrollment steps from 6 – 8 p.m. in Building 600, Room 611 (computer lab).
“FC Night is a great opportunity for students to celebrate their commitment to Fullerton College and their education while getting excited about the upcoming fall semester,” said Counselor and High School Outreach Coordinator Rolando Sanabria. “We’ll be reviewing steps to qualify for the Promise Program which can include up to two years of free tuition, and have over 40 programs and services hosting informational tables.”
The Promise Program provides two years of free tuition to first-time college students, and wrap-around services like counseling, mentorship, and other student-focused efforts.
At FC Night, several new students will be selected to receive additional scholarships. The new student scholarship opportunities are available through the FC Night RSVP form and the event is free and open to any interested student and family. Free parking will also be available in the parking structure off of Lemon St. and Fullerton College Drive.
