Inaugural Banned Book Essay Contest
The Fullerton College Library and Friends of the Fullerton College Library are holding their inaugural Banned Book Essay Contest. Essays must answer the question: “What does freedom to read mean to you?” The length must be between 750 to 1000 words. All essays will be judged by FC faculty for organization, central idea, supporting details, language mechanics and format.
Submissions are due on Friday, Nov. 4 by 11 p.m. and winners will be notified on Nov. 14. First-, second- and third-place winners will be awarded $250, $100 and $50 respectively. Submit essays and questions to Val Macias at vmacias@fullcoll.edu.
