Jeanette Rodriguez Named Interim Dean of Humanities
Jeanette Rodriguez has been named Interim Dean of the Humanities Division. Rodriguez has been an integral part of Fullerton College since 2015 when she joined as an adjunct faculty member in the department of communication studies.
Rodriguez’s long history with our campus has led her to numerous leadership roles where she has made a strong impact. She has been a full-time communication studies faculty member and department coordinator, Faculty Senate president, chair, co-chair and member of many college and district committees.
Her journey as a first-generation college student and passion for educational justice make her a vibrant example of resilience. Rodriguez’s leadership is rooted in two guiding principles of communicative collaboration and increasing access to community college education for traditionally marginalized groups. Equity and student-centeredness are truly at the heart of everything she does.
Although Rodriguez holds many roles, her favorite one is being a mother to her two children, Aaron and Aaliyah. She enjoys family hikes, Disney trips and quality time with friends and family.
Rodriguez earned her bachelor’s degree in political science and master’s degree in communication studies with an emphasis in intercultural/Latino/a communication and rhetoric from California State University, Fullerton.
Fullerton College excited to welcome Rodriguez into this new role and welcome her contributions to the ongoing growth and excellence of our humanities division.
