Jessica Susanto Named Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Scholar
Fullerton College student Jessica Susanto has been awarded the prestigious Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship Award. Transfer Center Director Ceclia Arriaza and Professor Jodi Balma and others delivered the news to Susanto on May 10 during a Zoom call.
Susanto is one of 100 high-achieving community college students who is the recipient of this highly competitive national scholarship that provides up to $55,000 a year to complete a bachelor’s degree.
Susanto is also the recipient of the Fullerton College Asian Pacific Islander Faculty & Staff Association Scholarship Award.
Susanto serves as vice-chair of the Finance Committee of Associated Students, has worked as an embedded tutor for English classes, and volunteers at the WISEPlace Women’s Shelter, among other activities. Her long-term goal is to become a lawyer specializing in women’s rights advocacy and entertainment law.
Fullerton College has a long history of Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Scholars.
