Justine Bernal and Andrea Ramos took fourth place in the Team Feature category. The team was dropped off at Sac State with teams from 40 other colleges and tasked to “find a story” and create an audio slideshow. Stephanie Lara and Nur Sattar teamed up for the conference’s inaugural on-the-spot video journalism competition. They also joined 40 teams at Sac State and were tasked to find a story for video. The team joined five other schools to earn the un-ranked meritorious award as the top teams of the category. The Torch magazine one again received General Excellence in the Publications Awards.
