Learn College and Career Tips at Psychology Day

The faculty of the Psychology department are pleased to present another thought-provoking and informative Psychology Day event for Psych majors and other interested students on Oct. 9 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Building 200, Room 224. Get information about internship and volunteer opportunities, transferring to a four-year university, careers in psychology, preparing for grad school, and get tips from FC alumni.

This event features two invited speakers. Dr. Melanie Byde is a clinician who will be talking about her experiences and strategies in working with a criminally insane population, Dr. Byde will be speaking from 10:10 to 11:30 a.m. Dr. Jacqui Lewis is a social psychologist who will be helping respond to a major ethics scandal at the American Psychological Association, in her discussion of why good people sometimes do “questionable” things. Dr. Lewis will be speaking from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

Registration is $13; to pre-register see any psychology instructor by Oct. 1. Seating is limited to 140 students, and snacks, coffee and water will be provided.
