Common Course Numbering Starting Fall 2025 Semester
The Common Course Numbering (CCN) system is making its way to Fullerton College starting the fall 2025 semester. A system designed to streamline courses and titles across California Community Colleges, CCN aims to reduce confusion, support academic planning and enable smooth transitions between colleges and universities.
Transfer Center Hosted Successful University Week Apr. 14-17
Fullerton College’s Transfer Center recently hosted its annual University Week from April 14 to 17, featuring a variety of events focused on transfer services. This event aimed to help students explore their transfer options and plan for the next step in their academic journey beyond Fullerton College.

25, 2025. This year’s theme, Lift Up, Level Up: The Rise of Black Serving Institutions, highlights our commitment to serving underserved students, including Black and African American students, and ensuring their success in community college and beyond.
Student Health Services to Host Spring Health Fair on April 23
Fullerton College’s Health Services will be hosting a spring health fair, offering free health services and resources to the campus community. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23 in the quad.
Solar Panel Project Ribbon Cutting Ceremony April 25
This Earth Week, Fullerton College is hosting a ribbon cutting for the completion of its solar panel installation at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, April 25 at Parking Lot 5, north of Building 1700. The first of its kind in the North Orange County Community College District, the solar panels will provide the campus with between 15-20% of its energy needs annually. Light refreshments will be provided.
Siempre Fullerton Episode 3 Out Now
Episode 3 of “Siempre Fullerton College,” our campus podcast, is out now! Learn about our special guest, alumnus Jaime Alvarez, and his journey to a promising career in physics. Alvarez fulfilled dreams of completing a fellowship at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and has even visited NASA Headquarters!

President Olivo gave our State of the College presentation at the Board of Trustees meeting. A great opportunity to share our successes, milestones and progress, this presentation captured how we put our students first and the results that come from it.

French Film Festival Successfully Gathers Local Community and K-12 Partners
The 13th annual French Film Festival gathered our local communities and Fullerton College family for an evening of exciting performances, food and a film screening. We would like to give a huge thanks to our Humanities Division, French Club and Dr. Catherine Reinhardt-Zacair for putting this successful two-day event together. Until next year, Hornets!
Friends of Fullerton College Foundation Hosts Exciting Dining for Dollars Event
The Friends of Fullerton College Foundation recently hosted its Dining for Dollars event, which featured live entertainment, dinner and inspiring stories. Guests, alongside President Olivo and Chancellor Breland, were able to participate in a silent auction and pledge drive.

KinderCaminata 2025 Video Recap
¡Si se puede! Fullerton College recently welcomed over 1,500 kindergarten students to campus for the annual KinderCaminata event. A beloved spring tradition, this event brings young learners together for a fun and inspiring day exploring college life and career opportunities as a future hornet.

Study Abroad Program Named Finalist for Prestigious Award
The North Orange County Community College District (NOCCCD) Study Abroad for Career and Technical Education: Manufacturing and Welding in Germany was recently named a finalist for the Innovation in Community College Programming Award.
Our 10-day Germany program focuses on manufacturing and welding and was the first of its kind in the district. Students in this program had the opportunity to visit several automotive and manufacturing plants for amazing hands-on experience in the field. A program filled with nontraditional students, it was reported to be absolutely transformational. Congratulations to our Study Abroad teams across NOCCCD!
Students Earn Machine Technology Scholarship
Machine Technology students Austin Valdez, Juan Hernandez and Brian Carretto were recently awarded a $500 scholarship from CAM Workforce Foundation. The scholarship reward will help these students towards careers in manufacturing. Congratulations, team!
Juan Cuevas Wins 3CATA Award
Fullerton College Athletic Trainer Juan Cuevas has been recently selected to receive the Special Service Award from the California Community College Athletic Trainers Association (3CATA). Hired at Fullerton College in 2006, Juan has been responsible for public relations and social media for the 3CATA, elevating the visibility of the organization and highlighting the hard work of its members. Congratulations, Juan!
Coach Perry Webster Recognized at Board Meeting
Basketball Coach Perry Webster was recognized at the most recent Board Meeting for being Coach of the Year and managing the team of state runner ups.
He was also applauded for the wins previously shared with student Joe Grahovac. Thank you for an amazing season, Perry!
