The day’s guest speaker Nancy Segal, Ph.D., professor of psychology at Cal State Fullerton and director of the Twin Studies Center, will present Twins Reared Apart From Birth: The Science Behind the Fascination. The faculty topic, Stress and Coping, will be presented by Tracy Guild, Brian Lopez and Katheryn McGuthry. Participants can also attend the lunchtime Resource Fair, where local organizations and colleges will be available for information on their programs and volunteer opportunities.

Student researchers will discuss their work and experience presenting at the 2016 Association for Psychological Science Convention in Chicago. During this convention, student researchers presented posters of their research some of which included the effect of an ethnic-sounding name, along with research on perceptions of physicians and previous medical care. An alumni panel will feature former psychology students and their tips for success in transferring to a four-year university and grad school.

Advanced registration is required and the cost is $15 before Sept. 23 or $18 after. Lunch and snacks will be provided and students may register with any psychology instructor. View the attached flyer for more information.
