Rosio Becerra Named Interim Dean of Student Support Services
Fullerton College is excited to welcome its new Interim Dean of Student Support Services, Rosio Becerra.
A dynamic leader, Becerra brings nearly two decades of experience in community colleges. Her expertise extends to student conduct and leadership development, reflected in her experience as Associate Dean of Student Development at Santa Ana College and Director of Student Conduct and Student Life at Long Beach City College. In these roles, she oversaw many aspects of student life, commencement and more. Today, she joins the Fullerton College familia with a strong commitment and knowledge of student success and holistic support.
Becerra also served as Interim Dean of Student Life at Norco College, where she oversaw a range of student services, including the Basic Needs Center, College Corps, athletics, health services, student life, student government, commencement and student conduct. Before this role, she also spent five years as the Director of Academic Talent Search at Santa Ana College, managing a federal TRiO (outreach and student services programs designed to identify and serve individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds) grant and providing pre-college services to approximately 800 seventh to 12th grade students within the Santa Ana Unified School District.
Becerra holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and a Master of Arts in Education with a focus on counseling, both from California State University, Dominguez Hills.
Fullerton College welcomes Becerra to the Hornet community, and cannot wait to work with her on all matters relating to student support and witness the undeniable impact she will make on our campus.
