Speech and Debate Competes at PSCFA’s Fall Championship

FC Speech and Debate Team participated in the Pacific Southwest Collegiate Forensics Association’s fall championship tournament at Mt. San Antonio College on Dec. 5 and 6.
Debaters Rohan Shah, Brian Wheat, and persuasion speaker Andrea O’Loughlin all took home bronze-medal awards. Shah and Wheat lost a 1-2 decision to debaters from Irvine Valley College. Teammates Jack Jensen and Gabriel Barrientos were seventh in debate, and Zach Turner and Joe Phillips were 16th. Andrea O’Loughlin took home third place in Persuasive Speaking.
The team resumes competition in January 2016 and will host debate tournaments in February and March including the National Educational Debate Association National Championships in cooperation with Cal State Fullerton. The Fullerton College Speech and Debate team is coached by Doug Kresse and Jeff Samano.
