Speech and Debate Competes at PSCFA Warm Up

The Fullerton College Speech and Debate Team participated in the Pacific Southwest Collegiate Forensics Association’s Warm-Up Tournament at El Camino College on September 30 to October 1.
On Saturday, September 30, Fullerton College teams Ryan Martinez and Gio Solis along with Jessica Ramirez and Donald Hammonds acquired wins over private university Point Loma Nazarene. Martinez and Hammond also ranked in the top half of competitive speakers in the novice parliamentary debate featuring thirteen Southern California colleges and universities.
On Sunday October 1, Fullerton College’s Hasti Bakian finished third place in the drama and program of oral interpretation category while teammates Eshan Rahimi and Britton Lee finished third and fourth places respectively in the category of informative and persuasive speaking. Additionally, Kayla Vautrin ranked in the top half of the impromptu speaking category.
The team resumes competition again on October 7 at San Diego State University’s Debate Tournament. The Fullerton College Speech and Debate team is coached by Jeff Samano, Toni Nielson and Jeanette Rodriguez.
