Spring 2023 Buzzing with Musical Performances

Music performances are in full swing at Fullerton College. Spring 2023 showcases the musical talent of students in a variety of styles, including choral, woodwind, jazz, and much more.

Here is a complete list of upcoming music events and details:

Jazz Combos– May 4, 7:30 p.m., Campus Theatre
Small group jazz gives each player more room for individual expression through improvisation – a key component in jazz music. These ensembles barrow from every style of jazz from Dixieland to the present.

Admission: Adult $10, Child $5, Senior 55+ $7 and Student $7

Masterworks Choral– May 5, 7:30 p.m., First Presbyterian Church of Fullerton
FC’s Choral Masterworks Series: Faure Requiem and Caroline Shaw’s To the Hands. The suggested donation is $10.

Percussion and Woodwinds Ensemble– May 8, 7:30 p.m., Recital Hall
The Woodwind Ensemble is chamber ensemble that offers an opportunity play woodwind masterworks in a more intimate musical setting. The ensemble is comprised of flutes, clarinets, oboes, bassoons, French horns, and saxophones.

Jazz Bands and JTrain– May 9, 7:30 p.m., Campus Theatre
This award-winning ensemble performs jazz fusion music as well as standard big band swing jazz throughout the semester.

Treble and Tenor-Bass Chorale– May 11, 7:30 p.m., Wilshire Auditorium
The Fullerton College Men’s Chorale has a tradition of camaraderie. The Men’s Chorale performs both on and off campus and provides students an opportunity to perform a broad range of music from a variety of genres.
