Stephan Cochran to Speak at Veterans Resource Center
Marine Corp. veteran and country music singer, Stephen Cochran will visit the Veterans Resource Center at FC on Thursday, May 28 from 12-1 p.m. in Building 500, Room 518 to give a special presentation about his life as a veteran, musician, and his journey of recovery after being injured during a combat patrol while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Cochran has performed all across the country, including an appearance on ABC’s Good Morning America to promote the second annual “Salute to the Troops” benefit concert in 2008. He is a spokesman for VA Research and Development and in 2009 wrote the VA’s theme song, titled “Hope,” which was used in a national campaign to support veterans.
