Stephanie Rodriguez-Yokana Named Interim Director of Student Life and Leadership
Stephanie Rodriguez-Yokana has been named Fullerton College’s new Interim Director of Student Life and Leadership.
Rodriguez-Yokana’s connection to Fullerton College is both personal and professional. As a first-generation Fullerton College student, she served as the Associated Students Vice President, Honors Program Student Assistant, participated in several student clubs and was recognized as a Woman of Distinction. She returned to the institution professionally in 2016 as the Administrative Assistant I for what was then the Student Activities department. Eventually transitioning into the Student Services Specialist role with Associated Students, she spent nearly 7 years with Fullerton College and played an integral role in supporting student leaders, developing leadership programs, collaborating on campus-wide events such as Commencement and Students of Distinction and coordinating large-scale student engagement initiatives that strengthened students’ sense of connection and belonging.
She has most recently served as the Interim Program Manager of Career Technical Education at North Orange Continuing Education (NOCE), where she provided operational and program leadership for more than 16 workforce-aligned programs as well as NOCE’s Parenting Program. In this role, she oversaw strategic partnerships, program planning, faculty support, budgets and continuous improvement initiatives, while working to expand access and success for diverse student populations. This experience further strengthened her skills in supervision, strategic planning, problem-solving, collaboration and organizational leadership.
Rodriguez-Yokana is excited to bring her experience, institutional knowledge and passion for student leadership back to Fullerton College. She looks forward to working alongside Student Life and Leadership staff, student leaders, faculty, classified professionals, administrators and campus partners to support an inclusive and engaging experience for all Fullerton College students.
She holds an associate’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in social sciences from Fullerton College, a bachelor’s degree in psychology and social behavior from the University of California, Irvine and a master’s degree in educational counseling from the University of La Verne.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Eddie, and their dog, Cody, playing games, hosting friends and spending time with their families.
