Study Abroad Offers Exciting Spring 2025 Opportunities
This spring semester, the Study Abroad program at Fullerton College is offering two dynamic opportunities for students to see the world as they complete their degree or transfer goals. These opportunities include a wide array of classes designed to fulfill general education requirements, explore new disciplines and more.
For the first opportunity, students can venture to Libson, Portugal, for courses in Ethnic Studies, Mindfulness and English. The second opportunity, set to take place during spring break, will be in Florence and Rome, Italy, in which students will study architecture. This experience will also be Fullerton College’s second Career Education program to participate in abroad study.
“Research shows that students who study abroad earn a higher GPA and transfer at higher rates and get admitted to the colleges and universities of their choice.” said Study Abroad Coordinator, Angela Henderson. “Many report that their study abroad experience was integral to getting jobs after graduation.”
New trips are also on the horizon, with Fullerton College offering its first-ever summer 2025 program to Costa Rica. The course students can take in Costa Rica is Physical Anthropology (ANTH 101), taught by faculty member at Cypress College, Jaclyn Maginetti. In this trip, students can expect to meet with three indigenous trips, stay at the Biological Research station for four nights and explore the Cocoa Plantation.
Applications for the summer 2025 Costa Rica trip are open until March 2025. Students who are interested in this trip can complete their application on the website.
