Thank a Student-Veteran During Veterans Appreciation Week, Nov. 4 – 10
Fullerton College will recognize and honor student-veterans, during Veterans Appreciation Week, November 4 – 10. The week will feature activities hosted by the Veterans Resource Center designed to foster support for and celebrate the more than 1000 student-veterans, active-duty service members, reservists, and veteran-dependents attending Fullerton College.
The activities will kick-off with a softball game against Cypress College VRC on Nov. 4 at 10 a.m. at the FC Softball Field. The 4th Annual Veterans Golf Classic will take place on Nov. 7. The Golf Classic raises scholarship funds to support student-veterans and the Veterans Resource Center.
On Nov. 8, the VRC will host a Movie Matinee on at 12 p.m. in Room 1902 with a screening of Forest Gump. Popcorn and snacks will be provided, and anyone is welcomed to attend. Lastly, all military-connected students and staff are invited to help honor and celebrate veterans during the Veterans Appreciation Lunch on Nov. 9 at 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on the Quad.
